Lynx Felis lynx Lynx is a large game cat The body is 85-105 sm, the middle weight is 12-16 kg. There are exemplars up to 30 kg.   Hunting terms - from November 01 till December 31. A lynx feels equally well in deciduous mixed and dark coniferous woods. It can perfectly climb on trees, swims well, easily passes on deep snows on its wide paws. It has its lair in the hollows of old trees, in woods with fallen, burned down trees, in crevices of rocks, in bushes. The lynx eats hares, roe deer, musk deer, hunts for young deer, presses rodents, and catches hazel grouses, wood-grouses. Hunting for a lynx -       Hunting is held in autumn-winter period from November 01  till December 31 -       The day temperature is from - 10 0 С to - 30 0 С -       Depth of snow is 10-40 sm -       The best tour term is 7 days -       The group quantity: 1-2 persons A hunter and a forester go through the wood and look for the fresh steps of a lynx.  Vehicle, snowmobile, animal-drawn transport can also be used. If the trace of a lynx is found they let off dogs - Eskimos dogs, which pursue an animal and hold it up on a place so called "osazhivat" or make it climb on a tree. A hunter, hearing dogs' voices, approaches very cautiously the occupied animal and extracts a trophy. The shot is made from 20-50 m. -       The recommended weapon at the hunting - smooth-barreled guns of 12 or 16 calibres, threaded guns of calibre 7,62 mm. Recommended clothes: winter (not heavy) hunting costumes of  white  colour or another colour but with camouflaging dressing down , a white woolen cap, winter hunting shoes with soft soles, gloves. -       The delivery from Irkutsk up to the hunting place: vehicle, in the addition snowmobile, animal-drawn transport can be used. -       The time from Irkutsk up to the hunting place takes 4-6 hours -       Accommodation of hunting-tourists depends on the hunting place. Stay is possible in home conditions of Siberian hunters-tourists, hunting bases, winter stations. -       Serves: timbered loghouses, furnace heating, three-single meal, Russian bath-house, toilet is outside.
